 STUFF THE TURKEY Fundraiser
 Stuff the Turkey was a big success this first year. Beginning in November, each school’s Turkey started to fill up with “spare” change, gaining new feathers for every 5 pounds of coins. Students and families sent in their pocket change to “Stuff their Turkey.” Several thousand pounds of coins were collected. Thank you to all of the students and their families for their contributions.
Cajon Park School was the “winner” among the larger schools and Chet F. Harritt was the “winner” from the smaller schools. These two schools will receive a school-wide ice cream float party sponsored by the Foundation.
On January 17th, a $750 check from the “Stuff the Turkey” proceeds was presented to each school to purchase books. This event supports the Vision of the Santee School District Foundation to provide financial, material, and service resources to support the education of our Children.
